Costales delivered her last goal for Shirley’s FC-A in the 11th minute to set up the squad’s early control of the game. Shirley’s FC-A went on to take a 4-0 halftime lead over in Shirley’s FC-B, as Jasmine Phan, Fiona Bucalig, and Mae Ito also hit the board, scoring in the 13th, 20th, and 30th minute, respectively.

Shirley’s FC-A made it a 6-1 advantage when Toremy Diaz fired back-to-back goals with her first recorded in the 39th minute and the second three minutes later. Shirley’s FC-B, on the other hand, broke its long silence in the 37th minute, thanks to Jeraldine Castillo’s goal.

Phan then duplicated Diaz’s feat when the former got her second goal in the 46th minute, while Shirley’s FC-B posted the last goal in the match, courtesy of Jeralyn Castillo’s conversion, but it was not enough to prevent Shirley’s FC-A from giving Costales a farewell win.

The victory was also Shirley’s FC-A’s first early into the season after bowing to Southern United, 1-5, last July 28.

Southern United 6, Kanoa 5

In the other game in the division, Southern United nipped Kanoa to notch its second victory in as many games.
Six different players teamed up for Southern United’s close win with Allyssya Angeles and Keisha Deleon Guerrero providing the insurance goals in the second half.

The second half started with Southern United holding a 4-2 advantage, behind the goals of Nathanette Blas (ninth minute), Christina Atalig (13th), Jannah Casarino (24th), and Britanny Wally (31st). Irish Pagarao scored (15th and 32nd minute) the two goals in the first half for Kanoa and the team made an attempt to rally in the second behind another goal from Pagarao and a pair from Kristelle Itaas.

However, Angeles and Deleon Guerrero’s goals in the 43rd and 55th minute, respectively, gave Southern United enough cushion against the three goals that Kanoa registered in a span of four minutes. Itaas got her first goal in the 56th minute, Pagarao had her third in the 58th, while the former earned her second in the 60th.

Kanoa absorbed its first loss of the season, failing to have a follow-up on its opening week victory against Shirley’s FC-B, 4-0.

Shirley’s Football Club-1 gave Katrina Costales a fitting send-off gift with its 7-2 victory over…

[5
16045
post-349678","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-southern-united
["GET
