{"id":349752,"date":"2021-08-12T06:05:20","date_gmt":"2021-08-11T20:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=349752"},"modified":"2021-08-12T06:05:20","modified_gmt":"2021-08-11T20:05:20","slug":"rotary-seeks-to-boost-women-membership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/rotary-seeks-to-boost-women-membership\/","title":{"rendered":"Rotary seeks to boost women membership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Rotary Club of Saipan hopes to continue increasing its number of women members moving forward, said club president Ivan Ilmov on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>Further motivating this goal is the Rotary Club International\u2019s theme for the 2021-2022 Rotary year, \u201cServe to Change Lives,\u201d with the goal to get more women involved with Rotary Clubs globally. <\/p>\n<p>Ilmov said the club has always been and will remain inclusive. \u201cWe are for [equality] for everybody\u2014the Rotary Club of Saipan does not have any [preferences] for religion, politics, or any other preference. We are open for all members, and we are trying to make it equal for our women [members] also,\u201d said Ilmov. <\/p>\n<p>When asked how the club will boost women membership, Ilmov said the club\u2019s approach for the past few years has been from the inside-outward, first reaching out to the spouses of Rotarians and followed by others within a Rotarian\u2019s circle. \u201cYou always start with your family, your village, your town, that\u2019s how it goes.
