{"id":350138,"date":"2021-08-18T06:01:36","date_gmt":"2021-08-17T20:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=350138"},"modified":"2021-08-18T06:01:36","modified_gmt":"2021-08-17T20:01:36","slug":"uog-and-guam-museum-to-host-virtual-tour-for-older-adults-and-persons-with-dementia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/uog-and-guam-museum-to-host-virtual-tour-for-older-adults-and-persons-with-dementia\/","title":{"rendered":"UOG and Guam Museum to host virtual tour  for older adults and persons with dementia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Guam\u2019s\u00a0Isa Psychological Services Center\u00a0and the Guam Museum are collaborating to offer a virtual tour specially designed for older adults and persons with dementia who might not be able to visit the museum in person.<\/p>\n<p>The tour\u00a0is\u00a0part of Isa\u2019s online support groups for family caregivers of persons with dementia being conducted in collaboration with the UOG School of Health\u2019s Guam\/Micronesia Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program.\u00a0The virtual tour is meant to provide a stimulating and meaningful experience for participants to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their homes.<\/p>\n<p>Guam Museum curator Michael Lujan Bevacqua, who holds a doctorate in ethnic studies and specializes in CHamoru history, language, and culture, will be conducting the virtual tours.
