{"id":350175,"date":"2021-08-19T06:01:19","date_gmt":"2021-08-18T20:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=350175"},"modified":"2021-08-19T06:01:19","modified_gmt":"2021-08-18T20:01:19","slug":"14-winners-in-vaccination-for-education-raffle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/14-winners-in-vaccination-for-education-raffle\/","title":{"rendered":"14 winners in \u2018Vaccination for Education\u2019 raffle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Public School System\u2019s first day of classes for this school year yesterday saw 14 CNMI students being named winners of raffle prizes in PSS\u2019 COVID-19 vaccination campaign, \u201cVaccination for Education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Seven students each won $500 cash prizes. They were Casey Chambers from Saipan International School; Janna Mapeso from Tinian; Rosalia Agbayani from Rota; Ysharei Sanje from Dandan Middle School; and Judy Bang, Kassandra Oropesa, and Rheeza Lopez, who are all from Marianas High School. <\/p>\n<p>Seven top-of-the-line smartphones\u2014four Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultras and three iPhone 12 Pro Maxes\u2014were also up for grabs in the raffle. The four Samsung winners were Mark Cao from Saipan International School; Edgard Acollador II from Tinian; Aiden Masga from Rota; and Zyron Espiritu Santo from Kagman High School. The three iPhone winners were Samuel Cope from Marianas High School; and Gabriel Baylon and Kilistina Passa from Dandan Middle School. The smartphones come with free one-year contracts.<\/p>\n<p>Education Commissioner Dr. Alfred B. Ada said Tuesday that he and a team will be going to the students\u2019 campuses soon to personally hand them the raffle prizes.<\/p>\n<p>To enter the raffle\u2019s selection pool, students who were eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine had to submit their COVID-19 vaccination cards to their respective school\u2019s registrar before noon Aug. 17.
