Ralph DLG Torres and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios have authorized the grant of administrative leave after noon today for the CNMI\u2019s \u201cnon-critical\u201d government employees.<\/p>\n<p>In yesterday\u2019s announcement, Torres describes Labor Day as an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. This year in the CNMI, \u201cwe recognize the work and accomplishments of all our essential workers\u2014both in the public and private sectors\u2014who have contributed to the safety of our community during this pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Torres further lauds the CNMI\u2019s front-liners in the announcement. \u201cIt takes a home, a village, an island, and one Marianas to keep our closely-knit community safe, and we did that together against all odds.
