(Contributed photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Run Saipan\u2019s next underground run will be in honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day this Saturday, Sept. 18, at Ladder Beach.<\/p>\n<p>Edward Dela Cruz Jr., Run Saipan president, said the International Coastal Cleanup Day 5K will be held in partnership with Salty Skin Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Run Saipan\u2019s monthly fun run this month is in partnership with Salty Skin Pacific and its partners to help in cleaning the Ladder Beach area for this 5K race. Runners will be cleaning up trash during the race or after or both!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>As an incentive, Dela Cruz said runners will have a chance to win awesome raffle prizes by picking up trash. He said runners that take the time to pick up trash and turn in their trash bag at the finish line will be entered in a raffle drawing after the cleanup.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSalty Skin Pacific will be giving out prizes for runners that collect trash while running the 5K route. Whoever comes back with a bag of trash during this fun run will be automatically entered in raffle drawing for prizes after the race. Please help us this Saturday and join the entire island in cleaning up our beaches. It\u2019s time for our runners to join the cause.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aside from this Saturday being International Coastal Cleanup Day 5K, the race will also serve as Marshall Hoskins final race on island as the winner of Run Saipan\u2019s April, June, July, and August races is set to leave the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Saturday we will be bidding farewell to our brother Marshall Hoskins as it will be his last 5K with us that morning. He leaves the very next morning back to the U.S. mainland. If anyone wants to get that last time race in with Hoskins this is your last chance this Saturday,\u201d said Dela Cruz.<\/p>\n<p>Check-in time for Run Saipan\u2019s International Coastal Cleanup Day 5K is 6am at Ladder Beach.
