(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)

Enjoy a clear mind and a good stretch doing yoga and reward yourself with a glass of wine after. That is the game plan tomorrow at Aqua Resort Club’s “A Class and a Glass” with yoga instructor Kerri Bauer that starts at 5:30pm for only $15.

“Tomorrow, we are having a wine and yoga class beach and poolside at ARC. ARC really has the best setting with a picture-perfect backdrop, hard floor for support, roof covering for weather, and drinks and food available after at Michelle’s Bar with 50% off on menu specials and drinks,” Bauer said.

The class will be a one-hour yoga flow class. It’s going to be a more gentle and slow flow that will enable participants to de-stress after a long week and get ready to unwind with friends after. “…This type of event is for everyone, all levels. This is all about adding a little flavor to the classes, having fun, connecting socially, moving our bodies, and finding our breath,” Bauer said.

For Bauer, who is a certified yoga instructor for three years now, connecting with people to be active physically and connecting socially is one of the things she is passionate about.

“I’ve been teaching a variety of group fitness classes since 2006. …I teach Vinyasa Flow in my yoga classes, which is a series of poses strung together and connected by breath. There are a variety of poses so no two classes are ever the same. We generally work toward a ‘peak pose,’ which is the most challenging pose of the class,” she said.

“I love how amazing I feel inside and out after yoga. I love how your body moves in a variety of ways with twists and stretching, along with balancing, holding, and strengthening. I love how it is for everybody, no one is judgmental and you can come as you are,” she added.

Before the summer break, Bauer has been conducting regular yoga classes at Aqua Resort Club and one of the her students, Sadie LaPonsie, described Bauer as a skilled and energetic teacher whose classes are welcoming to students of all levels. “I attend the Monday morning classes at Aqua when I can. The setting is beautiful, and it’s a perfect way to focus my mind and body at the beginning of the week.”

Bauer said that yoga is also a good supplemental sport to other sports or activities. “Come try yoga and give those repetitive muscle movements a break. …I love seeing the connection and a yoga family that has grown. I love seeing my students transform. Yoga can be so gentle and subtle, yet confident and dramatic.”

“We don’t have a future date for Wine and Yoga yet but we hope with a nice turnout that we can continue to offer these classes in the future. For the month of October, I’ll be offering a virtual morning movement and meditation class for free and people can make a donation if they like and also my Monday morning 8:30am flow class at ARC,” she added.

For more information, you can call ARC at (670) 322-1234 or contact Bauer on her Facebook page: :’Yoga In Saipan” and Instagram:’yogainsaipan’ or you can message her on WhatsApp: (670)484-3848.

[11
3088
post-351782","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","tag-arc
["GET
