(Mark Rabago)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The two Grace Christian Academy teams, Saipan International School 1, and Marianas High School 1 remain undefeated as the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Girls High School Volleyball League 2021-2022 season continued Thursday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.<\/p>\n<p>In the first game, GCA 2 got the better of debuting Saipan Southern High School 1, 25-17, 25-12, to raise its win-loss record to 2-0. The Lady Eagles 2 team is made up of Hannah Tenorio, Nieves Villagomez, Annetta Sun, Charrise Camacho, Eunji Hahn, Cassie Regan, Kaydence Gillespie, Taehee Kim, and Chloe Sablan.<\/p>\n<p>GCA 2\u2019s sister team also upped its record to 2-0 after drubbing SSHS 2, 25-4, 25-1, in the third game. The Lady Eagles 1 team is made up of 1 Karina Dilse, Clerrise Dacumos, Katriel Saures, Hye Jin Elliott, Soleil Lamar, Vicky Wang, Mint Karsuaythong, Eunice Pagaduan, and Allyssa Omampo.<\/p>\n<p>SIS 1 kept pace with the two GCA teams, but only after surviving a serious challenge from Kagman High School in the fifth game. The latter shocked the Lady Geckos 1 in the first set, 25-19. SIS 1 woke up in the second set, 25-16, to force a third and deciding rubber set where they prevailed, 15-10. The SIS 1 roster is made up of Francine Asedillo, Aubrey Castro, Audrey Castro, Elizabeth Culp, Cevina Hwang, Julianne Hall, Claire Park, Kaithlyn Chavez, Serin Chung, Euky Claveria, Hyeonbo-Maria Shin, Savita Sikkel, and Tiana Cabrera.<\/p>\n<p>MHS 1 kept pace with the three other undefeated teams after whipping sister team, MHS 3, in the sixth and final game, 25-16, 25-12. The Lady Dolphins 1 squad includes Arisa Custodio,  Abigail Decena, Madelleen Narciso, Fatima Monterubio, Julie Ann Capayas, Daejah Benavente, Rizza Relucio, Raina Avelino, Raenna Ramarui, Kalista Klaver, and Kina Rangamar. They are also now 2-0.<\/p>\n<p>Other matches last Thursday saw MCS 2 beat SIS 2, 25-22, 25-21 and MCS 1 escape MHS 2, 25-4, 23-25, 15-8.<\/p>\n<p>In related news, prior of Thursday\u2019s matches Public School System athletic program director Nick Gross sent out a memo to everyone watching the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Girls High School Volleyball League 2021-2022 season to observe the Athletic Program COVID-19 Protocols.<br \/>\nHe said all athletic competitions on or off PSS premises are required to adhere to PSS COVID-19 Protocols. As such, the following safety measures must be followed: <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Face masks or shields must be worn at all times by all individuals present, except for those actively participating in the sport.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Temperature screening must be performed at the entrance of each event for all individuals present. <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A sign-in log for participants and guests must be provided at the time of screening. No one will be permitted to enter without signing in. <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sanitizers must be available during all events. <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Appropriate sanitizing of sports equipment must occur before and after each event. <\/p>\n<p>Social distancing of 6 feet must be maintained. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone who fails to comply with the requirements may be asked to leave the event.
