{"id":352005,"date":"2021-09-21T06:00:13","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T20:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=352005"},"modified":"2021-09-21T06:00:13","modified_gmt":"2021-09-20T20:00:13","slug":"updates-on-water-outages-in-some-saipan-areas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/updates-on-water-outages-in-some-saipan-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"Updates on water outages in some Saipan areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to update the public on the emergency water service interruption that occurred on Sept. 12, for customers in the Kagman, Papago, San Vicente, Upper Dandan Homestead, Obyan and Naftan areas. <\/p>\n<p>As of Sept. 16, water services have been restored to the Papago, San Vicente, Upper Dandan Homestead, Naftali and Obyan area. However, due to the increase with the water demand in the Dandan Homestead area, the following water service hours will be in effect: <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Kagman 3 and Kagman 3 Phase 4 \u2014Currently online but was scheduled to shut-off last night at 7pm until this morning, Sept. 21, at 6am; <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Papagoi San Vicente, Dandan Homestead (High Elevation)\u2014Currently online.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Dandan Homestead (Lower Elevation across the Dandan Middle School)\u2014Water services were shut-off yesterday from 12pm to 5pm. The higher elevation area of the Dandan Homestead remained online. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Naftan and Obyan\u2014Water services will be the same as the Dandan Homestead lower elevation areas. <\/p>\n<p>In order to provide limited water supply to the Dandan Homestead customers, CUC will be distributing water at the following site: <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The two water tankers owned by the Saipan Mayor&#8217;s Office will be available at the San Vicente Youth Center for customers to fill up their gallons. Customers are welcome to retrieve water at this location. Note that the water is non-potable.
