{"id":352186,"date":"2021-09-23T06:02:43","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T20:02:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=352186"},"modified":"2021-09-23T06:02:43","modified_gmt":"2021-09-22T20:02:43","slug":"seatbelt-car-seat-checkpoints-on-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/seatbelt-car-seat-checkpoints-on-friday\/","title":{"rendered":"Seatbelt, car seat checkpoints on Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CNMI Department of Public Safety will be conducting two Occupant Protection and Child Restraint checkpoints on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021. <\/p>\n<p>The first checkpoint will be along Chalan Monsignor Martinez in Koblerville, to Chalan Monsignor Martinez in Dandan, from 5pm to 7pm. <\/p>\n<p>The second checkpoint will be along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero in San Jose, to Chalan Monsignor Guerrero in Dandan, from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. <\/p>\n<p>The purpose of these scheduled checkpoints is to promote public safety while increasing the awareness of the dangers of not utilizing a vehicle&#8217;s occupant protection system, as well as child restraints systems while driving on the island&#8217;s roads. Locations of these checkpoints were pre-determined based on the number of auto accidents, occupant protection, and child restraint system violations in these areas.
