Public schools on Saipan, Tinian and Rota will remain closed today, Friday, Sept. 24, 2021. <em>(PR)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>No classes at MCS today<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to the anticipated threat of Tropical Storm 20W, Mount Carmel School classes were canceled yesterday, Sept. 23 and today, Sept. 24, 2021, and the campus will be closed. MCS faculty and staff are advised to continue to carefully monitor announcements about the campus clean-up after the \u201cAll Clear\u201d has been issued by the Office of the Governor. For official school updates, visit\u00a0www.mountcarmelsaipan.com.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>NMC campuses to remain closed today<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At 5:45pm, the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency announced that Tropical Storm Condition I has been declared for Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. Because of this lingering threat, Northern Marianas College campuses on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota will remain closed today, Friday, Sept. 24, 2021.\u00a0 NMC campuses on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota were closed yesterday, Thursday. Classes that start after 12pm yesterday were canceled.<\/p>\n<p>NMC encourages all students and employees to take precautionary measures and prepare for heavy winds, rain, and flooding.<br \/>\nFurther updates will be provided when available. Updates regarding the resumption of classes and other announcements will be made through student and employee email (@marianas.edu) and the following platforms:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; NMC website<br \/>\n&#8211; NMC Facebook Page<br \/>\n&#8211; NMC Twitter (@GoProa)<br \/>\n&#8211; NMC Instagram (@NMC.Proa)<br \/>\n&#8211; News outlets including radio stations <em>(PR)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Al-Anon Family Group 12 Step Support Group<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Friends and family members of alcoholics and addicts are meeting every Saturday from 10:15am to 11:15am at Paradise Dental Spa, Middle Road, Gualo Rai as part of the Al-Anon Family Group 12 Step Support Group. AlAnon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else\u2019s drinking or drug use.
