{"id":352312,"date":"2021-09-24T06:05:02","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T20:05:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=352312"},"modified":"2021-09-24T06:05:02","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T20:05:02","slug":"chcc-board-meeting-on-cuc-bills-canceled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/chcc-board-meeting-on-cuc-bills-canceled\/","title":{"rendered":"CHCC board meeting on CUC bills canceled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A scheduled meeting of the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.\u2019s board of trustees yesterday was canceled due to Tropical Depression 20W.<\/p>\n<p>The main item on the meeting agenda was to discuss an extension for CHCC\u2019s payment of its outstanding bills to the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. <\/p>\n<p>The CHCC board last met on Sept. 14 to discuss CHCC\u2019s options on how it will pay its millions owed to CUC. During that meeting, it was learned that, as of Aug. 15, 2021, CHCC owes CUC almost $25 million in utilities and almost $15 million in penalties accrued beginning from when CHCC was incorporated in 2011.
