(Roselyn B. Monroyo)

Grace Christian Academy raced to its fifth straight victory after dominating two teams in the IT&E Interscholastic Girls Middle School Basketball League last Wednesday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

In the first game, Azriel Fatialofa scored 20 points in GCA’s 33-0 blanking of the Lady Knights. The Lady Eagles led 15-0 at the half and then more than doubled that total when the game was all said and done. Alyssa Kim added 8 points for GCA. MCS fell to 1-2.

In the last game of Wednesday’s five-game set, GCA made it 2-for-2 for the day and scored its fifth straight win after a 25-2 near shutout of Tanapag Middle School. Fatialofa again dominated everyone with 15 big points. TMS dropped its third straight game.

In the second game, Hopwood Middle School 2 almost mirrored GCA’s win over MCS by also giving up no points against sister team Hopwood 1, 32-0.

Kialeen Leemarvin scored 18 points for Hilitais 1. Hopwood 1 dropped its third straight game.

Following the day’s theme, Dandan Middle School also blanked a hapless Saipan Community School side, 11-0.

Priscilla Tomokane led DMS with 4 points, while Sheena Yamada added 3 points for the Lady Tottots. The Lady Tsunamis succumbed to their second straight defeat after opening the season 2-0.

In the day’s penultimate game, Hopwood 2 won its second match of the day after downing Dandan, 11-6. They are now 2-3 in the middle school standings.

Leemarvin scored all 11 the points and had a key sequence in the final moments of the game. The bruising forward made a 3-pointer then blocked a shot by a Dandan player to keep the Lady Tottots at bay. Dolores Sanchez led the now 2-3 DMS with 4 markers.

Grace Christian Academy raced to its fifth straight victory after dominating two teams in the…

[5
21248
post-352330","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-lady-eagles
["GET
