{"id":352365,"date":"2021-09-27T06:00:09","date_gmt":"2021-09-26T20:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=352365"},"modified":"2021-09-27T06:00:09","modified_gmt":"2021-09-26T20:00:09","slug":"uscis-extends-flexibility-for-responding-to-agency-requests-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/uscis-extends-flexibility-for-responding-to-agency-requests-3\/","title":{"rendered":"USCIS extends flexibility for responding to agency requests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is extending the flexibilities it announced on March 30, 2020, to assist applicants, petitioners and requestors who are responding to certain:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Requests for Evidence;<br \/>\n&#8211; Continuations to Request Evidence (N-14);<br \/>\n&#8211; Notices of Intent to Deny;<br \/>\n&#8211; Notices of Intent to Revoke;<br \/>\n&#8211; Notices of Intent to Rescind;<br \/>\n&#8211; Notices of Intent to Terminate regional centers; and<br \/>\n&#8211; Motions to Reopen an N-400 Pursuant to 8 CFR 335.5, Receipt of Derogatory Information After Grant.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, USCIS will consider a Form I-290B, Notice of Appeal or Motion, or Form N-336, Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings (Under Section 336 of the INA), if:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The form was filed up to 60 calendar days from the issuance of a decision we made; and<br \/>\n&#8211; We made that decision anytime from March 1, 2020, through Jan. 15, 2022<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice\/request\/decision issuance date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This flexibility applies to\u00a0the above documents if the issuance date listed on the request, notice or decision is between\u00a0March 1, 2020, and Jan. 15, 2022, inclusive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Response due date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>USCIS will consider a response to the above requests and notices received within 60 calendar days\u00a0after the response due date set\u00a0in the request or notice before taking any action.
