Patrick H. San Nicolas (R-Tinian) introduced Friday during a House of Representatives session a bill that proposes to appropriate up to $3.68 million from the American Rescue Plan Act\u2019s Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund to Tinian and Aguiguan. <\/p>\n<p>San Nicolas stated in the bill that the ARPA funds shall be used to carry out critical capital projects directly enabling work, education, and health monitoring, including remote options, in response to the public health emergency with respect to the COVID-19. <\/p>\n<p>He said the Tinian and Aguiguan Legislative Delegation appropriates $1 million for related construction costs and other capital investments  in public facilities  to meet COVID-19 related operational needs; $2 million for the improvement of ventilation systems in congregate settings, public health facilities, and other public  facilities; and $681,052 to make necessary investments in water,  sewer, or broadband infrastructure. <\/p>\n<p>The total amount proposed  to be appropriated is $3,681,052.<\/p>\n<p>The expenditure authority shall be the mayor of the Municipality of Tinian and Aguiguan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
