Nearly 80 students from high schools submitted their essays supporting the conclusion that stories matter\u2014to share culture, to entertain us, and to connect us together. <\/p>\n<p>Marianas Writers Movement will award prizes to five randomly selected student essayists at its October writing workshop. We also want to encourage people to come to the workshop. If you want to write short stories, novels, memoirs, family histories, poems or comics or graphic novels, we can help. Don\u2019t wait.
