For 20 years, I worked as general manager at Nissan car rental and then was the director for operations of the sales for Budget car rentals and I managed the Pacific region that includes the CNMI, Micronesia, and Guam,” he said.

With his new role at Islander, Odoca hopes to help the company expand the market “so I will be going out to the community to hopefully get more local businesses. From what I see right now, the brand Islander is quite strong in the local market but we see the need to work on the military sector more, which is really greatly increasing in the CNMI,” he said.

Islander Rent A Car is available on Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and Guam. It offers sedans, SUVs, and sports cars like the Mustang. Customers are guaranteed safety and convenience at specials rates that are within budget.

“With Island having branches on all the islands, it’s a great opportunity to expand into the tourism market and I am excited to grow the market here…There’s a lot of potential in the CNMI,” Odoco said. “Saipan is indeed a good destination and now with the ongoing Travel Bubble tapping the Korean market, and we want to be able to tap them too. Capturing a part of the tourism market is what I have been doing in Guam and that is also one of the plans for the CNMI.”

Odoco looks forward to exploring more of the CNMI, either for work or as a new resident. “It’s literally leisurely pace here…but I’m here to work so it should be an easy adjustment for me and, besides, Guam is very close,” he said.

Islander rent a car human resources officer Rudelia Renojo welcomes Odoco to the team. “We are happy that he is on board and we welcome him. With Mr. Odoco’s work experience, we look forward to a positive year ahead,” she said.

For more information, call Islander Rent A Car on Saipan at (670) 234-8233 or (670) 288-0373.
