Naputi said that renovations at the library\u2014which includes replacing shelves damaged by Super Typhoon Yutu in 2018\u2014have been ongoing, with the plan to complete these renovations before Dec. 19.<\/p>\n<p>JKPL will also be launching what it calls a \u201cTechnology Mobile Express\u201d; officially reopening the Fernando M. Benavente Memorial Library in San Antonio; upgrading the technology of the Antonio C. Atalig Memorial Library on Rota and the Tinian Public Library; and expanding the schedule of the \u201cBookmobile,\u201d which makes weekly visits to various Saipan communities.<\/p>\n<p>Naputi clarified that the San Antonio library has been open for some time for a soft opening, but it has not been fully launched yet. This launch, she said, will be part of festivities on Dec. 19.  <\/p>\n<p>JKPL\u2019s celebration will kick off with an event in November, but Naputi said that details are \u201chush-hush\u201d for now. <\/p>\n<p>Currently happening this month at the library is \u201cBook-A-Treat\u201d from Oct. 29 to Halloween on Oct. 31. The event is a three-day, indoor, appointment-only event where children can visit the library and do indoor \u201ctrick-or-treating\u201d in costume at the library.
