{"id":354651,"date":"2021-10-27T06:01:17","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T20:01:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=354651"},"modified":"2021-10-27T06:01:17","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T20:01:17","slug":"cuc-restores-network-system-but","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/cuc-restores-network-system-but\/","title":{"rendered":"CUC restores network system but\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Utilities Corp.\u2019s network system has been restored, according to a CUC press release yesterday.<br \/>\nIt said that CUC employees are once again able to access the Customer Information and Billing System but CUC\u2019s Customer Service Representatives are still limited and operating manually until the system is fully updated. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is important to note that the system is still being updated, which means that some customers will not have a precise balance on their account at this time. For some customers, charges and payments require manual updating to bring their accounts up to date. All manual transactions processed while the system was offline are also being updated onto customer\u2019s accounts. Thus, when making utility payments online or at one of our CUC Customer Centers, your account balance and payment receipts may not reflect an updated balance. CUC staff will need a few days to reconcile and update the accounts, as well as enter all manual transactions that were processed while the system was offline the past few weeks. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCUC would like to assure all its customers that all data will be restored on the system and will reflect an accurate account of each customer\u2019s balance upon full restoration. \u2026Continue to bring in your latest utility billing when visiting the CUC Customer Center for better assistance. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCustomers are also advised that utility bills scheduled to be mailed during this recovery period are delayed. CUC will not penalize customers for late payments or disconnect any delinquent customer as a result of our system being down. More importantly, CUC assures all its customers that any personal data on CUC\u2019s systems are secured and inaccessible to unauthorized users. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs for CUC\u2019s Financial System, restoration is still ongoing and is expected to be restored soon. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease visit CUC\u2019s website at www.cucgov.org or its Facebook page for updates on this matter.
