{"id":354856,"date":"2021-10-29T06:01:12","date_gmt":"2021-10-28T20:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=354856"},"modified":"2021-10-29T06:01:12","modified_gmt":"2021-10-28T20:01:12","slug":"bike-o-treat-and-trunk-o-treat-at-amp-on-halloween","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bike-o-treat-and-trunk-o-treat-at-amp-on-halloween\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Bike-o-Treat\u2019 and \u2018Trunk-o-Treat\u2019 at AMP on Halloween"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Motorcycle club Young Gunz Marianas, alongside the Island Summer Auto Fest, 670 Rock Steady Shop, and some of Saipan\u2019s other car clubs, will be holding a drive-through \u201cBike-o-Treat\u201d and \u201cTrunk-o-Treat\u201d from 5pm to 9pm or while supplies last on Halloween at the American Memorial Park softball field. <\/p>\n<p>The entrance to the drive-through event is the AMP maintenance building across the street from Hyatt Regency Saipan, and the exit will be the Micro Beach Pavilion parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>Young Gunz Marianas club president Buddy Igitol said in a phone interview yesterday that last year\u2019s \u201cBike-o-Treat,\u201d which was also a drive-through event at AMP, was a massive success, seeing close to 600 to 700 cars. Expecting similar turnout this year, if not more, and in hopes of maintaining traffic flow in the area, Igitol said the participating clubs are discouraging walk-ins and ask the community to take part in the drive-through.<\/p>\n<p>Igitol said that \u201cBike-o-Treat\u201d has been an annual event for Young Gunz since 2017, and that when Super Typhoon Yutu devastated the CNMI in October 2018, the club made \u201cBike-o-Treat\u201d possible that year through members riding their bikes to affected areas and delivering candies to community members.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cBike-o-Treat\u201d was held at the Marianas Business Plaza in 2019, while last year\u2019s was a drive-through event at AMP that saw a massive turnout.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Igitol expects a big turnout and asks the community to get into the Halloween spirit by dressing up.
