{"id":355008,"date":"2021-11-02T06:03:45","date_gmt":"2021-11-01T20:03:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=355008"},"modified":"2021-11-02T06:03:45","modified_gmt":"2021-11-01T20:03:45","slug":"select-philips-respironics-products-are-recalled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/select-philips-respironics-products-are-recalled\/","title":{"rendered":"Select Philips Respironics products are recalled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the Consumer Counsel is alerting the public and healthcare providers in the Commonwealth of a recall of certain Philips Respironics products due to potential health risks. <\/p>\n<p>The polyester-based polyurethane sound abatement foam, which is used to reduce sound and vibration in these affected devices, may break down and potentially enter the device\u2019s air pathway, causing the user to inhale or swallow the debris. <\/p>\n<p>If you own one of the following affected devices, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends the following: <\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tSpeak to your healthcare provider immediately; <\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tStop using the device; <\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tUse another similar device that is not part of the recall;<\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tUse alternative treatments for sleep apnea, such as positional therapy or oral appliances; <\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tInitiating long-term therapies for sleep apnea, such as losing weight, avoiding alcohol, stopping smoking, or, for moderate to severe sleep apnea, consider surgical options. <\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tIf you do not have an alternative, and your healthcare provider determines that the benefits outweigh the risks, continue to use your device. <\/p>\n<p>The affected devices are:<\/p>\n<p>CPAP AND BIPAP DEVICES<\/p>\n<p>Continuous Ventilator Minimum Ventilatory Support, Facility Use:<br \/>\n\u2022 Model E30<\/p>\n<p>Continuous Ventilator, Non-life Supporting: <\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tDreamStation ASV<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tDreamStation ST, AVAPS<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tSystemOne ASV4<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tC-Series ASV<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tC-Series S.T and AVAPS<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tOmniLab Advanced+ <\/p>\n<p>Non-continuous Ventilators: <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 SystemOne (Q-Series)<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tDreamStation<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tDreamStation Go<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tDorma 400<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tDorma 500<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tREMSTAR SE Auto <\/p>\n<p>VENTILATORS<\/p>\n<p>Continuous Ventilators<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tTrilogy 100<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tTrilogy 200<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tGarbin Plus, Aeris, LifeVent <\/p>\n<p>Continuous Ventilator, Minimum Ventilatory Support, Facility Use<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tA-Series BiPAP Hybrid A30 (not marketed in the US)<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tA-Series BiPAP V30 Auto <\/p>\n<p>Continuous Ventilator, Non-life Supporting<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tA-Series BiPAP A40<br \/>\n\t\u2022\tA-Series BiPAP A30<br \/>\n\t\u2022<br \/>\nFor more information contact assistant attorney general Hunter Hunt of the Office of the Consumer Counsel at the Office of the Attorney General at (670) 237-7500.
