Sablan (Ind-MP) said over the weekend that the Marianas and other states and territories will continue to receive Federal Emergency Management Agency COVID-19 funding with no local match. <\/p>\n<p>In his e-kilili newsletter, Sablan said that President Joe Biden announced last Wednesday that the 100% federal payments are good through April 1, 2022. <\/p>\n<p>To date, FEMA has obligated $41.12 million to the CNMI for COVID-19 relief, all without any local match required, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the second time President Biden has extended the 100% federal share provision since he was sworn into office last January,\u201d Sablan said.<\/p>\n<p>Last August, Biden announced that no local match will be required for emergency protective measure grants from FEMA in response to COVID-19.<br \/>\nThe 100% federal funding was supposed to expire on Sept. 30, 2021.
