(LAO ZHANG)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At this stage might as well call her Blossom after Billie Pangelinan once again topped the Power Puff Girls Class of last Sunday\u2019s Turkey Cross Race at Cowtown Race Track in Marpi.<\/p>\n<p>The 12-year-old Dandan Middle School student aboard her trusty 85cc Yamaha won both heats of Marianas Racing Association\u2019s Thanksgiving event to finish with a combined 50 points.<\/p>\n<p>Coming in next to Pangelinan and completing the Power Puff cast of Bubbles and Buttercup were Nanako Celis and Shaniah Alvarez who wound up with 44 points and 40 points, respectively, to finish second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan said topping the women\u2019s division, which was named after the Cartoon Network late \u201990s hit, was just the icing on the cake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had a really fun time on the track again, racing with the girls are always the best. I wasn\u2019t focused on winning, i just wanted to have fun. It felt really nice being back on the track with my girls Shaniah Alvarez and Nanako Celis!\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Pangelinan, who practices every Sunday at Cowtown, said she got into into motocross because of her father, Glen, and brother Corry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMotocross was my father\u2019s thing back then too. We\u2019d love watching the videos so we wanted to try it for ourselves,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She also admitted that MRA\u2019s Turkey Cross was a nice distraction from news of rising COVID-19 cases on island.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like to thank Team Ericco for the support and all the help they\u2019ve given me since I\u2019ve joined them. I\u2019d also wanna thank my family for supporting me during my races! I would love to dedicate the win to Team Ericco and my G\u00e5\u2019ga family,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>In the Peewee ATV Class, Brooklynn Susulin finished first after winning both heats and earning 50 points.
