(Contributed photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>HAG\u00c5T\u00d1A, Guam<\/strong>\u2014Calvo\u2019s Insurance has launched a holiday-themed contest as an extension of its Count on Us for Life campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Calvo\u2019s is giving the community the opportunity to recognize friends, family, or people whom they can count on in good times and especially challenging times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Count on Us for Life campaign was created to connect people. During this holiday season, we\u2019d like to recognize those who have selflessly shown up for others in need,\u201d said Paul A. Calvo, president and CEO of Calvo\u2019s Insurance Underwriters. \u201cWe can honor those who have impacted our lives in big or small ways through their acts of service and kindness. Usually, these values begin at home and emanate out to others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Residents have many ways to play and win. What makes the contest unique is that the nominator also wins a prize in addition to the person who was nominated. Residents can participate in the weekly prize giveaways in three ways: By tuning in to KUAM\u2019s The Link, KTKB Megamixx 101.9 FM, and through Calvo\u2019s Insurance\u2019s social media channels (Facebook and Instagram @calvosinsurance).<\/p>\n<p>Each week, Calvo\u2019s is giving away prizes featuring Calvo\u2019s Lifestyle Club partners that are perfect for the holidays\u2014prize packages or gift certificates to Guam\u2019s best restaurants\u2014and gas certificates. All weekly winners receive a gift certificate from a Lifestyle partner plus a $25 gas certificate from Calvo\u2019s Insurance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WEEKLY GIVEAWAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>KUAM\u2019s The Link Promotion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now through Dec. 17 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, The Link\u2019s hosts will open the phone line to callers, who will have to answer the questions \u201cWho can you count on in good and challenging times?\u201d and \u201cHow were you able to count on this person?\u201d Listeners who call in and answer the questions will win the weekly giveaways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KTKB Megamixx 101.9 Radio Promotion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now through Dec. 17, during the Radio Breakfast Extreme with DJ Doods from 6am to am and PnP: The Afternoon Shift with DJ Arnold from 12pm to 3pm, the radio host will open the phone line for callers. Callers will have to answer the same questions to win the weekly giveaways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Media &#8211; @calvosinsurance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now through Dec. 17, every Monday, Calvo\u2019s will publish a promo post on Facebook and Instagram asking the community the question, \u201cWho can you count on in good and challenging times? Tell us how you were able to count on this person.\u201d Followers can like and comment on the post for a chance to win weekly prizes.<\/p>\n<p>Each week on both radio stations and Calvo\u2019s social media pages, Calvo\u2019s is giving away a weekly prize package that includes a Calvo\u2019s Lifestyle Club Partner gift certificate and a $25 Shell gas certificate. Weekly winners who are Calvo\u2019s customers can fill out an online entry form at calvos.com\/giveaway by Dec. 17 for a chance to win a grand prize.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Three Festive Grand Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the contest period, Calvo\u2019s will determine three winners from the online entries. The three grand prizes include the following:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A family staycation for a two-night stay at the Lotte Hotel with all meals included for one lucky winner. The nominator wins $300 worth of Lone Star gift certificates.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Two shopping sprees at Pay-Less Supermarkets for two lucky winners. Winners must complete the shopping spree within three minutes, and the prize value is up to $1,000 worth of items per spree.
