However, any hope that his competitors could take in this brief lapse of form was slowly, steadily, and painfully quashed as Riggen completed the final seven holes in 1-over par. The championship effectively ended at the 17th, where three of his closest competitors came to grief with 4-over par 8s while Riggen calmly produced a par.

Ye Olde Saipanne Golfe Clubbe’s Champion’s Jacket is wedged onto Champion Golfer of the Year Bill “Supersandy” Riggen by 2020 winner Don “ChampChamp” Dunlop. The consensus was that Riggen’s spectacular round was attributable largely to the keeping of his prodigious drives on the fairway and out of the jungle, where he has spent much of his golfing career. Also, as noted by the Clubbe’s sage commissioner Michael “26” Deary, only once during the championship did Riggen produce one of the wretched chunks on an approach shot that so often plagues his game and horrifies his playing partners.

Rounding out the Top 5 in this year’s tournament were Deary, who shot a 78 and last year’s champion, Don “ChampChamp” Dunlop, with a 79. (PR)

[5

post-357523","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports
["GET
