Sablan (Ind-MP) over the weekend. <\/p>\n<p>In his e-kilili newsletter, Sablan said the U.S. Department of Transportation announced last week the release of the grant funds, which is part of the $9,091,659 in emergency aid allocated to CPA.<\/p>\n<p>The delegate said the $532,983 grant funds will be used to cover rent and provide minimum annual income guarantees to airport concessionaires.<\/p>\n<p>He said $487,899 is for Francisco C. Ada\/Saipan International Airport; $35,342 is for the Tinian International Airport; and $9,742 is for the Benjamin Taisacan Manglona International Airport on Rota.<\/p>\n<p>Last October, the CPA board approved to extend until this month its rent abatement program for all tenants at the Francisco C. Ada\/Saipan International Airport and all Saipan seaport tenants that rely on the tourism industry. <\/p>\n<p>The board program provides a 50% discount on rent for airport and seaport tenants.
