Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, the Governor\u2019s COVID-19 Task Force, and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. have confirmed the CNMI\u2019s 13th total COVID-19-related death yesterday, which was first reported late Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
CHCC also reported that 122\u00a0cases have been added to the CNMI\u2019s tally of positive COVID-19\u00a0cases, bringing the CNMI total to\u00a03,085\u00a0cases since March 28, 2020. These new cases were confirmed positive for COVID-19\u00a0from surveillance and travel testing on\u00a0Dec.\u00a027\u00a0and 28, 2021.<\/p>\n
In the latest fatality, the news release said the patient tested positive for COVID-19 in December and was identified at CHCC. The same circumstances were identified in four other COVID-19 deaths. No further details will be disclosed. <\/p>\n

As of Dec.\u00a028, 2021, there have been\u00a02,107\u00a0recoveries,\u00a0677\u00a0active cases,\u00a0and\u00a010\u00a0deaths of the cases identified since Oct. 28, 2021.<\/p>\n
