In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is extending the flexibilities it announced on March 30, 2020, to assist applicants, petitioners, and requestors who are responding to certain:<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tRequests for Evidence;\u00a0<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tContinuations to Request Evidence (N-14);<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNotices of Intent to Deny;<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNotices of Intent to Revoke;<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNotices of Intent to Rescind;<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNotices of Intent to Terminate regional centers; and<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tMotions to Reopen an N-400 Pursuant to 8 CFR 335.5, Receipt of Derogatory Information After Grant.<\/p>\n
Response due date:\u00a0<\/p>\n
This flexibility applies to\u00a0the documents listed above if the issuance date listed on the request, notice or decision is\u00a0between\u00a0March 1, 2020, and March 26, 2022, inclusive.\u00a0USCIS will consider a response to the above requests and notices received within 60 calendar days\u00a0after the response due date set\u00a0in the request or notice before taking any action.<\/p>\n
In addition, USCIS will consider a Form I-290B, Notice of Appeal or Motion,\u00a0or Form N-336, Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings (Under Section 336 of the INA),\u00a0if:<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tThe form was filed up to 90 calendar days from the issuance of a decision we made; and\u00a0<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tWe made that decision between Nov. 1, 2021, and March 26, 2022, inclusive.<\/p>\n
Under previously announced flexibilities, USCIS considered a Form I-290B or a Form N-336 if the form was filed up to 60 calendar days from the issuance of a decision by USCIS, and if such decision was issued between March 1, 2020, and Oct. 31, 2021, inclusive.
