The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association will be hosting back-to-back exhibition games beginning this Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.<\/p>\n

First up is the NMI Men\u2019s U19 National Team and Men\u2019s All-Star tiff set for Jan. 23 at 4:30pm, while the other exhibition match featuring the NMI Women\u2019s U18 National Team and the Women\u2019s All-Star will be played on Jan. 24 at 6:30pm.<\/p>\n

The official roster for the NMI Men\u2019s U19 National Team hasn\u2019t been announced, but expected to hit the pitch in this weekend\u2019s match are the core of the squad that ruled the MSL Cup in the Marianas Soccer League Fall Season 2021. The NMI Boys U18 National Team topped the year-ending competition after nosing out TanHoldings Football Club in a penalty shootout, 4-3.<\/p>\n

For this Sunday\u2019s exhibition game, the NMI Men\u2019s U19 National Team will be coached by Jershwin Angeles, while Martin Jambor will be the team manager. The squad will face the Men\u2019s All-Star, which will be coached by NMIFA technical director Michiteru Mita and will have players coming from the various teams that competed in the MSL Cup.<\/p>\n

In the women\u2019s exhibition game on Monday, the NMI Women\u2019s U18 will be managed by Angie Ito, while her counterpart on the Women\u2019s All-Star is Kelsey McClellan. The NMI Women\u2019s U18\u2019s roster is expected to feature players who saw action in the Hafa Adai Cup of the Marianas Soccer League Fall Season 2021, while the Women\u2019s All-Star crew are made up of players in the Intermediate and Premier divisions of the Dove Women\u2019s Fall League 2021 and some former national team members.<\/p>\n

Each exhibition match will be played in two 45-minute halves. The games are organized to support the two NMI teams\u2019 preparations for training camp and matches in Guam next month.<\/p>\n
