(Joshua Santos)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bank of Saipan donated $2,500 yesterday for the American Red Cross-Northern Mariana Islands Chapter\u2019s \u201cRed Cross Gala\u201d on Feb. 26. <\/p>\n<p>John Arroyo, who is the chief executive officer of the Bank of Saipan and an NMI Chapter board member, said that he and the Bank of Saipan are \u201cproud to be a member of the American Red Cross.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe highly believe in their mission and the things that they do for the island, and there is absolutely 100% support from the staff, management, and the board of the Bank of Saipan to do all that we can do to assist the Red Cross,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>NMI Chapter executive director John Hirsh and board chair Mable A. Glenn thanked Bank of Saipan and Arroyo for their continued support. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe couldn\u2019t do the work that we do\u2014our humanitarian work\u2014without the generous support of our corporate partners in the community, and the Bank of Saipan for many years has been doing that,\u201d said Hirsh. <\/p>\n<p>Hirsh also recognized Arroyo for his long history of supporting the American Red Cross both on Saipan and in Guam. \u201c[Arroyo is] very civic-minded and is always thinking about the community,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>On the behalf of the chapter, Glenn gave her \u201csincerest gratitude\u201d to the Bank of Saipan for its continued support of the American Red Cross and to Arroyo for his contributions as an NMI Chapter board member. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Bank of Saipan has always been a longstanding company that contributes to our economy and to our community, so we\u2019re just so grateful and very excited to have [them] with us [on Feb. 26],\u201d said Glenn. <\/p>\n<p>The \u201cRed Cross Gala\u201d is set for Feb. 26 at Kensington Hotel Saipan.
