(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.\u2019s Community Guidance Center certified last Jan. 12 a total of 19 employees from three different programs on what is referred to as \u201cQuestion, Persuade, and Refer,\u201d or QPR.<\/p>\n<p>QPR is an evidence-based suicide intervention training program that teaches participants how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. <\/p>\n<p>The newly-certified employees are from CHCC\u2019s Crisis Counseling Program, Behavioral Health Response Program, and CNMI Suicide Prevention Program.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2018, the CGC QPR trainers have certified 1,533 individuals in the CNMI (1,302 from Saipan, 104 from Tinian, and 127 from Rota). <\/p>\n<p>For more information on QPR, visit https:\/\/qprinstitute.com\/.
