{"id":36279,"date":"2014-05-21T07:00:15","date_gmt":"2014-05-20T21:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=36279"},"modified":"2014-05-21T07:00:15","modified_gmt":"2014-05-20T21:00:15","slug":"water-outage-upper-navy-hill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/water-outage-upper-navy-hill\/","title":{"rendered":"Water outage on Upper Navy Hill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform residents of Upper Navy Hill and along Isla Drive that their water service may be periodically interrupted between 9am and 4:30pm to allow CUC\u2019s contractor, GPPC, to replace non-working gate valves located along the Upper Navy Hill area. This gate valve replacement will take place starting May 19, 2014, and CUC estimates the work to be completed within two to three weeks. GPPC will replace the valves systematically so that smaller areas will be affected as they work their way up around the Upper Navy Hill.<\/p>\n<p>This valve replacement is part of the Navy Hill Water Line and Pressure Improvement Project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.<\/p>\n<p>CUC\u2019s operations\u00a0 team\u00a0 and\u00a0 GPPC\u00a0 will\u00a0 be\u00a0 working hard\u00a0 to\u00a0 return\u00a0 service\u00a0 to customers in these affected areas as soon as possible. Because of the scale of the work to be performed, CUC recommends that motorists exercise caution when driving through the construction sites.<\/p>\n<p>CUC apologizes in advance for any inconvenience resulting from this project and the water service interruption.
