Bank of Guam recently donated $5,000 to the Northern Marianas College, in support of NMC\u2019s upcoming golf open on March 19, 2022 at the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort. As part of its commitment to higher education, Bank of Guam recently donated $5,000 to the Northern Marianas College. The donation was made as part of the NMC 2022 Golf Open which is scheduled for Saturday, March 19, 2022. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud to help the Northern Marianas College further its mission of helping CNMI residents improve their quality of life through educational advancement and professional development,\u201d said Marcie Tomokane, vice president\/CNMI regional manager of Bank of Guam.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from this year\u2019s tournament will go to helping the college fund critical expenses, including the recovery of NMC\u2019s facilities, equipment, supplies, and other items destroyed by the Super Typhoon Yutu. The college has already completed the demolition of the damaged buildings, and is now moving forward with the next step of the construction of new facilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cBank of Guam\u2019s generosity has enabled many organizations in the CNMI, including the Northern Marianas College, to carry out important goals and objectives,\u201d NMC president Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD, said. \u201cWe are thankful for the company\u2019s long standing support.\u201d<\/p>\n

NMC\u2019s Golf Open will be held on the east course of the Saipan LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort. Showtime is at 6am, and the shotgun start will be at 7am. The tournament will follow a medal play format. <\/p>\n

First place winners in the men\u2019s Championship, A, B, C, Senior, and Ladies Flights (low gross and low net) will each receive $500, while $300 and $200 will go to the second and third place finishers, respectively. Hole-in-one prizes also include a brand new 2022 Civic Sport Hatchback from Joeten Motors, a brand new 2022 Hyundai Kona N-Line from Triple J Motors, a brand new 2022 Toyota Camry from Atkins Kroll Saipan, and $5,000 from McDonald\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The tournament will also feature many other items such as raffle prizes like smartphones, hotel stays, meals, and much more.<\/p>\n

Registration for this year\u2019s tournament is closed as the maximum number of players has been reached. Those who have not registered to play but would like to be placed on a player wait list can contact 237-6780. <\/p>\n

The college is asking companies, organizations, or individuals who are interested in sponsoring holes and\/or for any in-kind or cash donation to help support the CNMI\u2019s post-secondary institution.
