A total of 218 additional COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last three days, bringing the CNMI\u2019s total to 10,074\u00a0cases since March 26, 2020.<\/p>\n
The latest report from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp., which was issued Saturday, said that 75 individuals were confirmed positive on March 4, 2022, with four of them identified on Tinian. <\/p>\n
Before that, on Friday, CHCC said that 77 individuals were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 3, 2022. Thirteen cases were\u00a0identified on Tinian and 12 on Rota.<\/p>\n
CHCC reported late Thursday that 66 individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. Of that number, 59 were identified on March 2, 2022, and\u00a0seven were identified prior to March 2, 2022. Four were\u00a0identified on Tinian and four on Rota.<\/p>\n
The vaccination statuses of all 218 cases were pending verification.\u00a0<\/p>\n
CHCC also reported that, as of\u00a0March 5, 2022, there\u00a0were 10\u00a0individuals hospitalized\u00a0as a result of\u00a0COVID-19:\u00a0one unvaccinated, eight vaccinated, and one partially vaccinated. One of the 10 is on a ventilator.<\/p>\n
CHCC also clarified that some duplicates in the tally of positive cases have been deleted.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Of the total cases that have been identified in the CNMI, as of\u00a0March 4, 2022, there have been 9,481\u00a0recoveries; 563 active cases; and 30 COVID-19-related deaths. A total of 9,388 of these cases were identified via community testing and 686 via travel testing.<\/p>\n
A total of 98\u00a0COVID-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 5, 2022; of the eligible population,\u00a057.3%\u00a0have already received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census\u00a0population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-years-old and older population and was recently corrected.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A total of 469\u00a0COVID-19 tests were conducted on\u00a0March 4, 2022: 424\u00a0via Community-Based Testing; 44 at\u00a0Koblerville\u00a0COVID-19 Community Center; and one at the Rota Health Center.
