All 40\u00a0cases were identified on March 15, 2022, one of which was identified\u00a0on Tinian. The vaccination statuses of the 40\u00a0cases are pending verification.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As of\u00a0March 16, 2022, there\u00a0were six\u00a0individuals hospitalized\u00a0as a result of\u00a0COVID-19: three unvaccinated and three fully vaccinated\u00a0<\/p>\n
In Guam, the Joint Information Center was notified of two COVID-19-related fatalities. The 340th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City on March 10, 2022. The patient was a 69-year-old male, vaccinated with a booster, who had underlying health conditions and tested positive on Feb. 28.<\/p>\n
The 341st COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital on March 16, 2022. The patient was an 81-year-old male, fully vaccinated without a booster, who had underlying health conditions and tested positive on March 8.<\/p>\n

Of the 10,575 total cases that have been identified in the CNMI, there have been 10,343\u00a0recoveries; 201 active cases; and 31 COVID-19-related deaths. A total of 31\u00a0COVID-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 16, 2022; of the eligible population,\u00a058.3%\u00a0have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census\u00a0population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-years-old and older population.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A total of 241\u00a0COVID-19 tests\u00a0were\u00a0conducted on\u00a0March 15, 2022: 209\u00a0via Community-Based Testing; 18 at\u00a0Koblerville\u00a0COVID-19 Community Center; 14 at Rota Health Center.
