Forty-three additional individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the CNMI\u2019s total to 10,777 cases since March 28, 2020. <\/p>\n
Of the 43 cases identified on March 21, 2022, seven were reported on Tinian. The vaccination statuses of the 43 cases are pending verification. <\/p>\n
Also, as of March 22, 2022, there were seven individuals hospitalized as a result of COVID-19.<\/p>\n
Of the 10,777 total cases that have been identified in the CNMI, there have been 10,598 recoveries; 148 active cases; and 31 COVID-19-related deaths. Of these numbers, 9,998 were identified via community testing and 779 via travel testing.<\/p>\n
A total of 44 COVID-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 22, 2022; of the eligible population, 59.3% have already received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-years-old and older population. <\/p>\n
A total of 231 COVID-19 tests were conducted on March 21, 2022: 214 via Community-Based Testing; 15 at the Koblerville COVID-19 Community Center; and two at the Rota Health Center.
