{"id":365007,"date":"2022-03-25T06:00:06","date_gmt":"2022-03-24T20:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=365007"},"modified":"2022-03-25T06:00:06","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T20:00:06","slug":"saipan-marathon-early-bird-deadline-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/saipan-marathon-early-bird-deadline-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Saipan Marathon early bird deadline today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The deadline for early bird registration for Saipan Marathon 2022 half-marathon, 10K, and 5K is today, March 25, at 11:59pm ChST.\u00a0 The event, organized by the Marianas Visitors Authority in partnership with Northern Marianas Athletics, is slated for April 9, 2022, in The Marianas.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is open at www.raceroster.com and fees are $45 for all three courses for both international and resident participants.\u00a0 Special rates for CNMI students only with a valid student i.d. are$30 for the 10K and 5K. Registration will increase $10 after todayy\u2019s deadline, and registration closes on April 1, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>All participants will receive a finisher\u2019s T-shirt, a certificate of completion via email, and entry to the awards banquet at 5pm on race day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaipan Marathon is a short two and half weeks away, so we strongly encourage everyone to register for the best rates by this Friday,\u201d said MVA managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo.\u00a0 \u201cWith the gradual resumption of tourism, we\u2019re looking forward to rebooting this annual signature event and are looking forward to welcoming our home athletes and visitors back for a great race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event is sponsored byHotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands.\u00a0 In-kind contributors are Century Hotel, Serenity Hotel, and Aqua Resort Club Saipan.\u00a0 Aid stations will be provided by Saipan World Resort, Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Triathlon Association of the CNMI, IT&amp;E, Aqua Resort Club Saipan, Kensington Hotel Saipan, Coral Ocean Resort, and Pacific Islands Club Saipan.\u00a0 Supporters are Dept. of Public Safety, Dept. of Public Works, American Memorial Park, Division of Fire &amp; Emergency Medical Services, Div. of Parks &amp; Recreation, and Marianas Health Services.<\/p>\n<p>The race follows some of Saipan\u2019s most scenic roadways, starting and ending at Micro Beach and American Memorial Parkand providing stunning views of the azure blue lagoon along the Beach Rd.\u00a0 Race packet pick-up will be available on April 8, 2022, from 5pm to 6:30pm at the American Memorial Park amphitheater. Start time on April 9 is 5:45am for the half-marathon, 6am for the 10K, and 6:10am for the 5K.<\/p>\n<p>Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. In addition, only the 1stplace male and female finishers in their respective age division category will receive an award.
