{"id":365189,"date":"2022-03-29T06:06:41","date_gmt":"2022-03-28T20:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=365189"},"modified":"2022-03-29T06:06:41","modified_gmt":"2022-03-28T20:06:41","slug":"2-nj-investors-interested-in-offline-online-saipan-casino","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/2-nj-investors-interested-in-offline-online-saipan-casino\/","title":{"rendered":"\u20182 NJ investors interested in  offline, online Saipan casino\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Commonwealth Casino Commission executive director Andrew Yeom has disclosed that two New Jersey investors are interested in operating an offline and online casino on Saipan. <\/p>\n<p>Yeom said in an interview last Thursday that he recently received \u201cofficials calls\u201d from these two separate investors that he described as \u201cboth legitimate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Right now, he said, Saipan has only one exclusive licensee so he cannot do any open bidding and that he is not in a position to talk more about these investors until the situation with Saipan casino licensee Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC is resolved.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_364676\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-364676\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Andrew-Yeom-headshot-11-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-364676\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-364676\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yeom<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Yeom said he could not get into the specifics whether these investors want to take over IPI\u2019s casino building in Garapan or use any existing properties. \u201cI cannot get into that type of deep-level discussion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The CCC board plans to hold hearings this May whether or not to revoke IPI\u2019s exclusive casino license. <\/p>\n<p>Yeom has levied five complaints against IPI in September 2021, each one seeking the immediate revocation of IPI\u2019s exclusive Saipan casino license.
