(MARK RABAGO)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cSmoking\u201d Jun Tabora proved that age is just a number as he scored 35 points to lead Royal Pacific to a 96-73 thrashing of winless Super Tech in the open division of the Inaugural SCLC Basketball League last Thursday at the Gillette Multi-Purpose Gymnasium in Gualo Rai.<\/p>\n<p>Tabora, who is the leading scorer of the masters division while playing for DECM, didn\u2019t score in the first quarter, but Royal Pacific still took a 23-14 lead.<\/p>\n<p>When he finally got going in the second with 9 points, it was all she wrote for Super Tech, which trailed 44-18 at the half.<\/p>\n<p>Tabora then erupted for 17 points in the third, as Royal Pacific extended their advantage to 31 points, 69-38, heading into the last 10 minutes of the contest. <\/p>\n<p>He then capped his explosive night by cruising for another 9 points in the fourth as Royal Pacific improved its win-loss mark to 2-3. Ronald Rueda fired a game-high 31 points, while Rodel Pastrana tossed in 19 points in the win. Jun Ocampo was the lone bright spot for the losers with 25 markers.<\/p>\n<p>HBR International nosed of Marianas Dental Center, 77-71, in the third game to up its slate to 4-2, while dropping MDC to 2-4 <\/p>\n<p>After trailing 22-15 in the first quarter, HBR International cut their deficit to a point at the half before taking a candlestick lead after three quarters of play. The team finally eked out the win thanks to the 12 combined points of J.R. Galang and Mario Rotap in the fourth. Galang scored 25 points in the win, while John Darag was the high-point man for MDC with 16.<\/p>\n<p>In Friday\u2019s lone match, The Game won its fourth game in five matches with a 103-86 whipping of 670 Gravity.
