(MARK RABAGO)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>670 Gravity wasn\u2019t fooling around last week as they won back-to-back games in the open division of the Inaugural SCLC Basketball League at the Gillette Multi-Purpose Gymnasium in Gualo Rai.<\/p>\n<p>On April Fool\u2019s last Friday, 670 Gravity nipped Marianas Dental Clinic, 87-85, in the opener. League leading scorer Joseph Torres did his most damage in the payoff period, as the sweet-shooting two-guard fired 11 of his 29 points.<\/p>\n<p>The game was tight from the get-go with MDC taking a 24-22 lead after the first 10 minutes of action. 670 Gravity returned the favor in the second quarter and led 42-41 at the half. It was still a seesaw affair in the third with MDC leading, 65-62, heading into the fourth and final quarter, where Torres ultimately went berserk to lead 670 Gravity to its sixth win in 11 games. MDC, which was led by the 17 points apiece of Jude Tengco and Ariel Moises, dropped to 2-6.<\/p>\n<p>The night before, 670 Gravity got win No. 5 after a 73-79 whipping of RNV Construction, which at that time was its ninth straight loss to start the season. Torres also paced 670 Gravity in that game with 23 markers.<\/p>\n<p>In the second game last Friday, RNV Construction finally nailed its first win of the season after beating Royal Pacific, 73-55. Jun Ocampo and Pae Villacrusis combined for 37 points to lead RNV Construction to the breakthrough win. \u201cSmoking\u201d Jun Tabora paced Royal Pacific in the loss with 21 points. RNV Construction is now at 1-9, while Royal Pacific is at 2-6.<\/p>\n<p>Vizion Insurance then improved to 5-3 after a 93-80 win over Supertech in the nightcap last April 1. Ronald Rueda fired 33 points and Rodel Pastrana 24 points in the win. Supertech lost its sixth game in seven outings.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Paradise Realty (6-3) held back HBR International (5-3), 78-73, in the first game.
