{"id":365836,"date":"2022-04-06T06:03:28","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T20:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=365836"},"modified":"2022-04-06T06:03:28","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T20:03:28","slug":"o-hospitalization-and-93-new-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/o-hospitalization-and-93-new-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"O hospitalization  and 93 new cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As of Monday, April 4, the CNMI had zero hospitalizations due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>The latest report from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. showed that the last person hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 was March 30, 2022, and that patient has already been presumably discharged.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, 93\u00a0additional\u00a0individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the CNMI\u00a0total to 11,158 cases since March 28, 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Of the 93 cases, 26 were identified on March 28, 2022 (with one on Tinian and two on Rota); 33 were identified on March 29, 2022 (eight on Rota); seven on March 30, 2022 (one on Tinian, three on Rota); 16 prior to March 31, 2022; three on April 1, 2022; two on April 3, 2022, both on Tinian; and six prior to March 28, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In Guam, the Joint Information Center reported two COVID-19-related fatalities yesterday and one last April 4, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The 352nd COVID-19-related fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Memorial Hospital on April 3, 2022. The patient was an 83-year-old male, fully vaccinated without a booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on April 3.<\/p>\n<p>The 351st COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City on March 31, 2022. The patient was a 66-year-old female, unvaccinated, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on March 16.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo those who loved them, [Lt. Gov.] Josh [Tenorio], [first gentleman] Jeff [Cook], and I send our heartfelt sympathies,\u201d said Guam Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero. \u201cAs we work toward a route to normalcy, we are once again reminded that our grief continues as well as our fight against this pandemic.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Guam\u2019s 350th COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the GMH on April 1, 2022. The patient was a 57-year-old male, fully vaccinated without a booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on April 1.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToo many have experienced the pain from losing a family member to this deadly virus,\u201d said Leon Guerrero. \u201cTo his family and those who loved him, Jeff, Josh, and I pray they find healing and comfort during this difficult time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To date, there have been a total of 47,429 officially reported cases in Guam, 352 deaths, 282 cases in active isolation, and 46,795 not in active isolation.<\/p>\n<p>In the CNMI, there have been 11,158 cases since March 28, 2020.
