The Governor\u2019s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. have confirmed the CNMI\u2019s 34th COVID-19-related death.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As of April 11, 2022, there\u00a0were zero individuals hospitalized as a result of\u00a0COVID-19.\u00a0<\/p>\n
From April 4 to April 10, 2022, there was zero new hospitalizations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Forty-five additional\u00a0individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the CNMI\u00a0total to 11,203 cases since March 28, 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Of the 45\u00a0cases, 14 were identified on April 4, 2022; eight on April 5, 2022; three on April 6, 2022; 11 on April 7, 2022; three on April 8, 2022; five on April 9, 2022; and one on April 10, 2022.<\/p>\n
Of the total number of cases identified in the CNMI, there have been 11,142 recoveries; 27 active cases; and 34 COVID-19-related deaths.<\/p>\n
A total of 10,342 were identified via community testing and 861 via travel testing.<\/p>\n

As of April 11, 2022, a total of 22,817 COVID-19 additional\/booster vaccine shots have been administered; of the eligible population, 61.2%\u00a0have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-years-old and older population.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should stay home and isolate when they are sick (except to get medical care), even if they do not have symptoms; rest; stay hydrated; can take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, to relieve symptoms; and live COVID-19 safe.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Report your COVID-19 positive test result online at\u00a0www.staysafecnmi.com\/self-reporting\u00a0within 5\u00a0days of your positive test result for a copy of your quarantine completion certificate.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Individuals experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should stay home and live COVID-19 safe\u00a0(except to get medical care or get tested for COVID-19). CHCC continues to encourage the community to get vaccinated if they have not done so, or get their booster shot if they are eligible to help prevent severe illness, hospitalization, or death. People considered high risk (e.g., history of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, or cancer, or over the age of 65), immunocompromised persons, or unvaccinated individuals are at risk of serious illness from COVID-19. Unvaccinated individuals spread the virus at a higher rate than vaccinated individuals, thereby increasing the spread and risk of serious illness toward other unvaccinated individuals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccination, which includes additional doses for individuals who are immunocompromised or booster doses for those who are eligible. Register for COVID-19 vaccines at\u00a0www.vaccinatecnmi.com,\u00a0or call (670) 682-7468.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Individuals\u00a0aged\u00a018 or older are eligible to avail\u00a0of a booster shot; 12- to 17-year-olds can avail\u00a0of a Pfizer-BioNTech booster shot. Data\u00a0show that vaccine effectiveness against COVID-19 infection is waning after the primary series, but protection remains high against severe disease and hospitalization.\u00a0<\/p>\n
