Saipan Mayor Donald Flores will kick off his first fundraiser tonight at the Pacific Island Club\u2019s Magellan Restaurant at 6pm. <\/p>\n
Re-election for Flores committee chair James Cabrera is inviting the public to attend tonight\u2019s event.<\/p>\n
Tickets are $50 per person and the dinner will be prime rib and seafood buffet. <\/p>\n
\u201cMusic will be provided so please come down and join us for a fun, nice evening,\u201d said Cabrera.<\/p>\n
Flores is seeking re-election in this November\u2019s general polls. He is running as an independent candidate. <\/p>\n
Flores said that he would like to extend his appreciation and gratitude to his friends, family and most of all his supporters.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey have stood by me over the years and have given me the encouragement and motivation to continue serving our community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Flores cites as one of his accomplishments the $413,000 grant he secured from the Office of Insular Affairs to purchase heavy equipment.<\/p>\n
With the grant money, Flores said he intends to immediately procure the much-needed equipment that will enable his office to address various village concerns and serve the community effectively and efficiently. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
