TakeCare and Kanoa recorded similar close wins in last Wednesday\u2019s pair of matches.(CONTRIBUTED PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>TakeCare handed Kanoa Football Club its first loss of the season after pulling off a 2-1 victory in their Tinekcha-Awaal game in the Dove Women\u2019s League Spring 2022 last Wednesday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.<\/p>\n<p>Bernadette Horey and Josephine Cardelle scored the two goals for TakeCare, which now narrows its gap with Kanoa in the team standing after improving to a 4-1-1 win-draw-loss record. Kanoa has a 5-0-1 slate, ending its winning streak after only Kaithlyn Chavez hit the board for the team.<\/p>\n<p>In the other match in the division, Shirley\u2019s FC also escaped with a 2-1 win over Southern United FC. Shirley\u2019s got an own goal and one from Alexa Vergara to beat Southern United, which drew its lone goal from Rizza Relucio. Shirley\u2019s notched victory No. 2 out of six games, while Southern United has yet to enter the win column this season.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley\u2019s and Southern United cross paths anew tonight in the curtain-raiser at 6:15, while TakeCare will try to make it two in a row against Kanoa when they collide at 7:45pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FLORES-PEE-LUWAL<br \/>\nShirley\u2019s 7,<br \/>\nSouthern United 1<\/strong><br \/>\nIn last Sunday\u2019s second game in the Flores-Pee\u2019 Luwal Division, Shirley\u2019s romped past Southern United to grab the top spot in the team standings in Group A.<\/p>\n<p>Melody Johnson, Mikayla Lopez, and Jhaza Mirano had two goals apiece for Shirley\u2019s, which now has a 3-0-2 mark to lead Southern (2-1-2), Paire-1 (1-3-1), and MP United (1-2-2). Jeraldine Castillo added one for Shirley\u2019s, while Southern United\u2019s only goal came from Reanna Ramrui.<\/p>\n<p>In the other match in Group A, Paire-1 and MPU played to a draw. Savannah Grant scored for Paire-1, while Moriah Sablan had the same output for MPU.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matansa 5, TanHoldings 2<\/strong><br \/>\nIn Group B, Matansa (3-2-0) kept the top spot after downing TanHolding (2-1-2)<br \/>\nBarbara Peteru recorded two goals for Matansa, while Tawny Barcinas, Jenna Mauliola, and Chrishia Leon Guerrero chipped in one apiece.
