They are Jesica Andebor, Rita Atalig, Jan Bobadilla, Shannelle Decena, Cassie Matta, Kiara Manganti, Min Kyu Song, and Jo Rivera. Song is a graduate of the cohort from 2020 while the rest are from the 2021 cohort.<\/p>\n<p>The NNAAP exam is an industry certification developed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to measure competency in nurse aide skills. My biggest inspiration to continue this field is my family.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jo Rivera said that being part of\u00a0NMC\u2019s CNA preparatory program was a \u201conce-in-a-lifetime opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe clinical experience exceeded my expectations,\u201d Rivera said. \u201cUnlike at\u00a0NMC, most CNA programs on the island do not include hands-on experience with a patient. She showed me the importance of doing everything in my power to be the best I can be, whether in nursing or some other field.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jesica Andebor said she had a great experience in the program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Aldan and Mrs. Aldan were great teachers and mentors,\u201d Andebor said, referring to the program instructors. \u201cI am grateful for all the lessons they\u2019ve taught me. I had so much fun experiencing new things during clinicals and meeting a bunch of different people.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kiara Manganti said she wanted to become a CNA to help people and make a difference in their lives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have learned so many things from providing the basic care, as well as assisting in activities of daily living, and seeing positive changes in patients,\u201d Manganti said.<\/p>\n<p>Shannelle Decena said as a certified nursing assistant, she plans to serve in her local health center, and to be a registered nurse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to thank my instructors for their patience, guidance, and advice as well as my classmates for their help and encouragement,\u201d Decena said. \u201cI would not have been able to complete this program without the support of my parents, who at the time took care of my son.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For more information about\u00a0NMC\u2019s CNA preparatory program, visit\u00a0https:\/\/www.marianas.edu\/nursing\u00a0or email\u00a0andrew.mendiola@marianas.edu.
