Sablan (Ind-MP) said over the weekend that the CNMI is receiving $1.56 million from the U.S. Department of Labor for training and career services. <\/p>\n<p>Sablan said in his e-kilili newsletter that U.S. Labor\u2019s Employment and Training Administration announced Friday that the grant award will be distributed to the following: $453,848 for youths, $429,597 for adults, and $679,289 for dislocated workers.<\/p>\n<p>Sablan said this support includes counseling, work search assistance, and development of individual employment plans.<\/p>\n<p>He said the youth funds rolled out on April 1, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Sablan said adult and dislocated worker funds will be available in two separate appropriations: base funds on July 1, 2022, and advance funds on Oct. 1, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The delegate said the $1.5 million award comes from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Delegate Gregorio Kilili C.
