{"id":368735,"date":"2022-05-19T06:00:39","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T20:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=368735"},"modified":"2022-05-19T06:00:39","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T20:00:39","slug":"mango-celebrates-progress-with-cnmi-nonprofits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/mango-celebrates-progress-with-cnmi-nonprofits\/","title":{"rendered":"MANGO celebrates progress with CNMI nonprofits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since kicking off the Lemmai-Mei Nonprofit Incubator Project in January 2021, the Marianas Alliance of Non-governmental Organizations has already helped three organizations acquire their federal EINs, four organizations with their 501(c)(3) (tax-exempt) applications, four organizations with funding proposals, and three fiscal sponsorships.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, MANGO has been servicing the following organizations in support of their mission of providing the CNMI community with special and needed services to our CNMI community:<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Administrative services: 4-H Marianas; Amelia Earhart Memorial Monument Inc.; Inetnun Kutturan Natibun Marianas; Tano, Tasi, yan Todu; Pacific Islands Nutrition in Action; Western Pacific Maritime Academy; Transfer Marianas; Chamolinian Cultural Village, Inc.;<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Social Media services: 500 Sails<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Financial support services: Saipan Cares for Animals; 500 Sails<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Proposal writing and training: Western Pacific Maritime Academy; NMI Volleyball<br \/>\nAssociation; Marianas Island Nature Alliance; Rotaract; CNMI Women\u2019s Association;<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Strategic Planning services:\u00a0Haggan-Woong United for Recovery; 500 Sails; Rota Island Specialty Crop Association; Friends of the Mariana Trench;<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Consulting:\u00a0Pride Marianas; Saipan Cares for Animals; Isla Montessori;<\/p>\n<p>MANGO is a CNMI nonprofit established in 2010 in response to a critical need to provide the nonprofit community of the CNMI with guidance on how to register a nonprofit organization with the CNMI and federal governments, obtain tax-exempt status, pursue funding opportunities, and to give the nonprofit sector a collective voice in the community and at local, regional and international forums. MANGO is recognized locally and regionally as the official umbrella organization for nonprofits in the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>MANGO\u2019s long-term goal is to provide leadership and technical assistance for nonprofit organizations in the CNMI.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur objective is to ensure that existing and new nonprofits become financially independent and self-sufficient,\u201d said the group in a recent news release.<\/p>\n<p>To help in those endeavors, MANGO can be the administrative\u00a0arm\u00a0for nonprofit members, so that they can focus their energies and resources\u00a0on providing programs and services to our community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMANGO\u2014with community partners\u2014will support and empower nonprofits as they take on leadership roles.
