(CPA )<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Commonwealth Ports Authority executive director Chris Tenorio issued a memo last Tuesday outlining the rates and charges for the use of the newly-designated small boat harbor of the Rota West Harbor Seaport.<\/p>\n<p>Chief among the charges is a port entry fee of $110.20 for all vessels (except military and government-owned vessels) when entering the port to use the harbor. The CPA memo also outlines the dockage fee, home port fee, and wharfage rates for all cargo unloaded at the harbor.<\/p>\n<p>Tenorio said the two boat slips closest to the Rota West Harbor Seaport are now designated as a small boat harbor.<\/p>\n<p>The CPA memo states that wharfage rates for all cargo unloaded at the small boat harbor shall be charged on the basis of weight and shall be as follows: <\/p>\n<p><strong>Total Weight Total\tWharfage Due <\/strong><br \/>\n0 to 99 lbs\t$3.00<br \/>\n100 to 199 lbs\t$4.14<br \/>\n200 to 299 lbs\t$4.71<br \/>\n300 to 399 lbs\t$5.28<br \/>\n400 to 499 lbs\t$5.85<br \/>\n500 to 599 lbs\t$6.42<br \/>\n600 to 699 lbs\t$6.99<br \/>\n700 to 799 lbs\t$7.56<br \/>\n800 to 899 lbs\t$8.13<br \/>\n900 to 999 lbs\t$8.70<br \/>\n1,000 to 1,099 lbs\t$9.27<br \/>\n1,100 to 1,199 lbs\t$9.84<br \/>\n1,200 to 1,299 lbs\t$10.41<br \/>\n1,300 to 1,399 lbs\t$10.98<br \/>\n1,400 to 2,000 lbs\t$11.40<br \/>\nIf the cargo unloaded weighs over 2,000 lbs, the total wharfage charged shall equal the sum of the \u201cTotal Wharfage Due\u201d in the above chart for the \u201cTotal Weight\u201d ranges that are equal to the total weight of the cargo unloaded. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Port entry fee <\/strong><br \/>\nAll vessels (except military and government-owned vessels) shall pay a port entry fee of $110.20 when entering a CNMI port for the purpose of using any marina or small boat harbor. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Dockage rate <\/strong><br \/>\nAny vessel berthing or mooring to a vessel berthed at any marina or small boat harbor under the care and control of the CPA shall pay a charge of $8.31 for every hour after the third hour berthed or moored. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Home port fee <\/strong><br \/>\nRates and fees for vessels operating in the territorial waters of the Commonwealth on a continuing and long-term basis may be established by agreement, exclusive of this terminal tariff, pursuant to the powers conferred upon CPA by law. In the absence of such an agreement, individuals with home port permits for marinas or small boat harbors shall pay all of the rates and fees set forth in this terminal tariff and elsewhere in the harbor regulations shall apply, except that the dockage rates shall be as follows: <\/p>\n<p><strong>Vessel Length\tCharge per month: <\/strong><br \/>\n0 to 10\t        $22.80<br \/>\n10 to 12\t$30.40<br \/>\n12 to 14\t$38.00<br \/>\n14 to 16\t$45.60<br \/>\n16 to 18\t$62.70<br \/>\n18 to 20\t$76.00<br \/>\n20 to 22\t$83.60<br \/>\n22 to 24\t$91.20<br \/>\n24 to 25\t$100.70<br \/>\n25 to 50\t$155.80<br \/>\n50 to 75\t$210.90<br \/>\n75 to 100\t$319.20<br \/>\nAll other regulations shall continue to apply to any vessel using the Small Boat Harbor at Rota West Harbor.
