Leila Staffler (D-Saipan) and Richard Lizama (D-Saipan) thanked everyone who made the recent Precinct 5 Hoops and Vibes Basketball Tournament under the lights at the Kagman Community Center hardcourt a success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks in large part to our volunteers and sponsors, eight teams of players, and countless spectators who enjoyed the Precinct 5 Hoops and Vibes Basketball Tournament, we would like to express our gratitude for the generous contributions from Kagman Brothers Market, Bolis Kagman Marianas, Fast Food, Inc., Roil Soil, All-Star Sporting Goods, PHI Pharmacy, McDonald\u2019s Saipan &amp; Guam, Ming Yang Supermarket, MARPAC, Joeten Enterprises, CYC, and Twins Market<\/p>\n<p>Last May 21, K-2 Ballers protected homecourt by winning the Precinct 5 Hoops and Vibes Basketball Tournament at the expense of Young Doom, 55-37.<\/p>\n<p>The boys of coach Tom Pangelinan only needed to win Game 1 to annex the championship outright after going undefeated the entire tournament.<\/p>\n<p>K-2 Ballers advanced to the finals following a 45-40 escape of Homies, while Young Doom booked its championship berth following a 37-33 nipping of Utu Bangers.<\/p>\n<p>In the awards ceremony immediately following the finals, Garret Mariano was adjudged the finals MVP and best scorer of the tourney, while teammate Kaipo Dikito was named the top 3-point marksman.<\/p>\n<p>The co-ed youth basketball tournament started with eight teams and featured boys and girls between 14 and 18 years old in full-court 5-v-5 action. <\/p>\n<p>For more information about the Hoops and Vibes Basketball Tournament, call Rep.
