{"id":372230,"date":"2022-07-13T06:02:37","date_gmt":"2022-07-12T20:02:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=372230"},"modified":"2022-07-13T06:02:37","modified_gmt":"2022-07-12T20:02:37","slug":"nmc-recognizes-three-outstanding-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/nmc-recognizes-three-outstanding-employees\/","title":{"rendered":"NMC recognizes three outstanding employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Northern Marianas College\u2019s Staff Senate named three employees as \u201cStaff of the Quarter\u201d awardees as part of its efforts to recognize and acknowledge staff members\u2019 hard work and commitment to students.<\/p>\n<p>The three individuals are financial aid specialist Roy Alegre, Project PROA counselor Malyssa \u201cMaly\u201d Castro, and Office of Student and Leadership Activities program coordinator Maia Pangelinan.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_372233\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-372233\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/NMC-pix2-PW-11-300x189.jpg\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-372233\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Malyssa Castro  (NMC)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cCongratulations to the recipients of the Staff of the 2nd Quarter,\u201d Staff Senate president Geri Rodgers said. \u201cI appreciate all the work that Roy and Maia do for the students. Also, a huge thank you to Maly for being the Staff Senate secretary during her term that recently expired. She did so much to help with the Senate-sponsored activities that encouraged the staff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Staff Senate sponsored an employee gathering event to announce the awards. The awardees were nominated and voted by their peers for the coveted title of Staff of the Quarter, Rodgers said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very thankful to the Staff Senate and my fellow staff members for the honor of being Staff of the Quarter,\u201d Alegre said. \u201cWorking at NMC has allowed me to expand my knowledge and skills, all while working with such professional and fun individuals. I want to especially thank my Financial Aid Office team who keeps me motivated and have helped me throughout the years.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_372235\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-372235\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/NMC-pix3-PW-11-300x184.jpg\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-372235\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Roy Alegre (NMC)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Pangelinan is also thankful for having received the award.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to receive this award,\u201d Pangelinan said. \u201cIt couldn\u2019t have been possible without an amazing team supporting me every step of the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Castro shared the same sentiments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am truly honored to be chosen as one of the Staff of the Quarter recipients,\u201d\u00a0Castro said. \u201cWorking at the college has been the most fulfilling five years of my life.
